Looks like they are working on updating site! What a great way to cary on Shirley's memory!! ^o^ CM2

Subject: [craftsayings] Craftsayings.com - Christmas 2008 Newsletter

There is a lot going on behind the scenes at Craftsayings.com. You may
not see the changes yet, but we are working hard to get new projects and
sayings published. On behalf of everyone at Craftsayings.com, we would
like to wish you a safe and happy holiday season.

Hopefully your holiday shopping and preparation isn't taking you
away from the important things that the holidays are about. Budgets are
always tight and time sparse. Here are some quick gift ideas that might
help stretch your budget this year.

A great gift idea for chocolate lovers. A can of frosting and a bag of
chips wrapped with a nice big bow and the below poem will be a hit!

When you hit that time of day
When your energy won't budge
It's time for a chocolate fix
With a batch of quick fudge.

A great relaxer after a hectic holiday. Who wouldn't enjoy soaking
in a refreshing bath? Recipe for this is equal parts of Epsom salt,
powdered milk and baking soda. Put this in a plastic bag and add a
snowman face and scarf to spruce it up.

Snowman salts in warm water
Will help you to chill
You'll feel so relaxed
That your problems will be nil.
...........................................................................................................

A cute little gift to give is a coffee mug with hot chocolate,
marshmallows and a stick of cinnamon.

Pour this angel soup
With hot water in a mug
To warm you like
A sweet angel's hug.
Stir with a stick
To add more love
Straight from angels
Watching from above
Toss in the angel clouds
Sent from them too
Now sip it down
To warm you thru and thru.

Here are a few cute sayings from ShirleyT to keep you laughing.

· You turn into your mother no matter what – but kids really speed up the process.

· Women always have challenges – they either marry one or give birth to one!

· It takes both rain and sunshine to make a rainbow

· A rainbow is God's stairway to heaven – the rainbow to happiness

· Friendship is a rainbow between two people

· Old age is like underwear - it creeps up on you

· I'm a creator of habits – all the bad ones

According to Jim, if you have your name set for receiving emails from the Archive Board then you will automatically get updates from Shirley's old site. Jimmy, one of their sons has taken it over and is going through all of Shirley's files. I think it is awesome that they are keeping her memory going with keeping the site updated.

Even though our board here has the same name, as of 5 years ago there is no connection other than the Archive Board from this site to her site. I've thought about before Shirley's death to change the name but never got around to it and now since her death, I feel that it would be an injustice now to change the name. I think Shirley would really enjoy us keeping the name that it started with.

Hugs
angela
