Superman Cape Pattern

Date Posted: 13:59:04 09/06/04 Mon

Subject: Superman Cape pattern?

Hi everyone, Does anyone know how to make a simple Superman cape? I keep finding patterns for round capes but the Superman cape seems to be more of a rectangle. I would love to make one for my son and nephew (2, 4 years old). Thanks for you help.

I hope this cape will work for you. It's on the Velcro web site.
This is an amazingly long address but the correct one I just cut & pasted it to make sure.

I believe the directions are there. Also, check Google Search and there are several listings there. Hope this helps. Claudia

Hi Colleen, don't forget to look at the posts on the Sewing Board. If you're looking for easy, be sure to see the post titled something like links & tips for making a potholder/towel combo (buttons over your oven door). The kitchen angel towels are adorable too - that's on the Angel Board I think. Besides the regular posts on the Sewing Board, be sure to look at that Announcement on links to great sewing projects/sites.

hand-muff pattern

Date Posted: 22:33:25 11/29/04 Mon
Author: Wendy
Subject: ISO hand-muff pattern

I am looking for a pattern or just some suggestions on making an old fashioned hand-muff that I want to sew. I remember my gramma giving me one when I was little and using all the time. My niece has cold hands even with her gloves on and I'd like to make one for her with matching scarf and maybe gloves. I could probably make one but I can't remember if mine had a cord to wear around your neck or not.
Is this a REALLY old fashioned idea? Kyiva is only 7 but I wouldn't want her to think I'm totally out of the fashions of the day. I am but she don't need to know it.
I've looked online but got nowhere so I thought you wonderful ladies might have some ideas to share with me. I thank you all in advance.

I have been having some trouble email the pattern to some people because of the size (over 5K). I posted the 3 pages onto my webpage. The address is:

http://groups.msn.com/MyHugbugfriendsandme/barboo.msnw

I hope you can read it alright.
